- "They strive to support their allies with songs and dance. Their true strength is the ability to bolster the party."
- —Troubadour description, Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight

Experts at raising morale, these airy-clothed performers give their all to inspire their comrades during battle through magical songs and dances.
The Troubadour (バード Bard in the Japanese version) are musical prodigies, utilizing song and dance to empower their allies in combat or sapping the enemy's defenses. Though lacking in specific melee prowess, they serve as a jack-of-all-trades, excelling in none but being decent in all, making them utilitile on either line. However, due to their low health and defense, the back line is the most ideal for these performers.
Profile[]
Prodigies in the way of song and dance, the Troubadour excels in supporting their teammates where their melee capabilities fall shy. Although meager at combat, they can bolster various aspects of their comrades' stats, and even grant them temporary access to elemental damage. Their powerful songs and dances can also be used to sap the strength of the enemy, crushing their elemental defenses into the ground and tossing their status benefits into the garbage.
Likely owing to developer oversight, buffs do not have turn counters in this game. They simply don't expire. Once the party's buff slots are filled, the Troubadour becomes an idle fluffball that can take potshots or just spam Defend on the front line.
- Strengths: Powerful bolstering abilities and useful weakening abilities.
- Weaknesses: Mediocre melee capabilities. Mediocre defense. Ill-suited for all combat.

Prodigies in the way of song and dance, the Troubadour excels in supporting their teammates where their melee capabilities fall shy. Although meager at combat, they can bolster various aspects of their comrades' stats, and even grant them temporary access to elemental damage. Their role in this game clashes a bit with the Sovereign, where the Troubadour's buffs have a wider range of effect in exchange for not having the Sovereign's healing capabilities. They have one of the most powerful Force Breaks in the game, which provides a significant boost to all offenses and defenses, paving the way for a devastating burst damage turn.
- Strengths: Powerful wide-range buffs and high turn speed.
- Weaknesses: Ill-suited for direct combat, unless rectified by grimoire stones.
- Force boost - War Song: For 3 turns, party's buffs will not decrease and cannot be canceled.
- Force Break - Crusade: Until end of turn, provides a 50% damage boost to the party while halving all damage they take. Unusable if the Troubadour's head is bound.

- Elemental Circles (Sovereign): When combined with Fantasias, the resulting elemental boost is immense.
- Flank Shot, Drop Shot (Survivalist): Troubadours have good Agility and the ability to equip bows. This allows them to do good damage when they don't need to maintain buffs.
