Tentacles are FOEs that can be encountered in the final floor of the Cyclopean Haunt. There are eight Tentacles scattered about this floor, and the main objective of the floor is to hunt down and destroy the Tentacles. Doing so will weaken the Abyssal God and make its fight easier.
However, the Tentacles are not going to make it easy to catch them. While they are oblivious to the player's presence, stepping within the 2x3 range of an eye will cause all tentacles in the room to become aware of the player's presence. Tentacles move two spaces for every player step, making them very hard to catch if they're actively fleeing the player. Carefully map out the floor, and then plan a route to either catch a tentacle unawares or corner them.
Tentacles themselves aren't really dangerous in combat. Without any skills, all they do is defend or do a normal attack. But if you're unlucky, it can directly summon a Vampire Tree into battle. Spare no efforts in eliminating them swiftly.
Unlike other FOEs which respawn in seven days, Tentacles respawn in just three. If you aim to hunt the tentacles to take down the Abyssal God, try to eliminate all of them in a single trip so that you have more time to prepare and then challenge the Abyssal God at its weakest.
If you've managed to defeat the Abyssal God, all remaining Tentacles will disappear. They will not respawn until the Abyssal God does so, upon which all eight will revive with it.
