The fifth Stratum of the Yggdrasil Labyrinth is Lost Shinjuku, remnants of an ancient city that hails from the same time as Gladsheim. Frederica states that this city was a part of a town called Tokyo, Japan.
A notable feature of the floor is its many flights of stairs connecting B21 through B24. The player has to make a roundabout trip through these stairs to reach the other half of B21 and activate the elevator switch. Doing so enables elevator travel to reach the central areas of B23 and B24, culminating in the player finally gaining access to B25.
In Story Mode, after the defeat of Etreant, the party returns to the center of B25 to find a Geomagnetic Pole that leads straight to B30 in order to defeat the Yggdrasil Core and finish the plot. Returning to the Geomagnetic Pole afterwards will cause it to disappear and allow the player to enter B26 and begin exploring the next stratum.
