Lili is an NPC in Etrian Odyssey V. She is friendly and helpful, appearing throughout the first Stratum, giving the player advice and sometimes items.
In the demo, she appears at the staircase leading to 4F and prevents the player from proceeding, signaling the end of the demo.
Her backstory gets elaborated on in the Fetid Necropolis. She was part of a long line of descendants from a pair of Celestrians who used to live in the Tower of Sorcery. Her ancestor, Swan, was locked in combat with her former companion, Crow, who had taken the Ring of Undying for himself. Swan was felled in when Crow turned the tides of the fight, and with her dying breath, she swore vengeance on Crow. Lili and every other Celestrian before her in the line of ancestry had been tasked with Swan's mission of hunting down Crow and recovering the Ring of Undying.
Eventually, the party reaches the end of the Fetid Necropolis, where they find Crow, whose body has been kept preserved in undeath by the Ring, and taking the title of Undead King. The party defeats him, and Lili recovers the Ring, grateful that her lifelong mission has been completed.
Much later, Lili attempts to tap into the Ring of Undying only to find that its massive magic reserves had been drained by the Undead King. Solor suspects that this large amount of magic was used for a great summoning ritual, and posts up a request to investigate the hidden areas of the Necropolis.
