One of the tomes I've given you outlines the Disperse command. You'll need to be careful about its use, mind you. The Disperse command causes your party members to leave the leader, splitting up to explore the zone on their own. The upside is that this allows you to gather items scattered about the zone very efficiently. But items aren't the only thing you'll come across in the labyrinths. There are monsters roaming as well. Unless your individual allies have strength enough to rival a full party, the Disperse command can be risky. To use it at your current level would be to risk annihilation. I suggest you set this Blast Skill aside for now.

2nd Branch[]

After accepting the mission "Fiend in the second dungeon"

Many guilds have already taken on the new mission. And you...? But I probably needn't bother asking. Be thorough in your preparations. Skills, equipment, team composition... Everything must be taken into account.

After defeating the boss of Emerald Copse

Impressive work on the mission. Have you reported to Magan yet? That reward will be invaluable in preparing for future excursions, so be sure not to forget it.

After reporting the mission "Fiend in the second dungeon"

More adventurers arrive every day, now that we've added skyships. Have you been recruiting more members to your guild? Members not in the party are on standby and receive lessons here. It isn't much, but they improve day by day. You might find that they level up before you know it. It's best to add members whenever you can.

3rd Branch[]

After accepting the mission "Rescue Dr. Stein"

It's fortunate that we finished testing the fort system before this happened. Building a fort freezes the formicary structure of the labyrinth and allows you to see the surrounding floors. That should help you get to the bottom of the dungeon by the shortest route, without getting lost along the way.

After defeating the boss of Pristine Stream

Your monster-slaying prowess is considerable. If only we'd had adventurers like you a year ago... But there's no use dwelling on what ifs. I just wasn't strong enough at the time...

After reporting the mission "Rescue Dr. Stein" and talking to Sarah

You've convinced me that preparations for the Day of Reckoning are going smoothly. All we need now is a working radar.

After reporting the quest "Pick a small flower" and seeing the cutscene at Magan's House

I must head out to battle with the other adventurers in town, if by a chance a DOE should reach the surface. Until then, the plan is to evacuate the citizens by any means necessary. I don't want another tragedy like one year ago. Damage to the town is a certainty. There may be no adventurers present in town strong enough to take it down quickly. Not even here, the district where most adventurers gather. If we're attacked, it will take time until we're back at full.

4th Branch[]

After defeating the boss of Haunted Woods

I must say, your skill seems to be limitless... Not that I've ever underestimated you. Yet, even so... Why are you satisfied with adventuring? Would you like to serve the provost? I could put in a recommendation. ...Very well. I'll gladly vouch for whatever position you have in mind. Let me know if you ever reconsider.

5th Branch[]

After the mission "Explore the fifth dungeon" is available

I heard about the Crystalline Peak from the provost. To think that a simple shop owner would make such a discovery... There are sure to be ice beasts at the Crystalline Peak. You should consider that when making your preparations. You should pay heed to the skills you use in battle as well. Particularly for any runemasters accompanying you...

After defeating the boss of Crystalline Peak

A soldier? Ah, yes, you mean the one I sent to receive you when you returned.[K] Did he do something wrong? ...I see. He is an odd duck, I won't deny. He says sir constantly, and mutters to himself when troubled. And he never removes his armor, even in this heat. Well, many in Aslarga have pasts they'd rather not discuss. It's not unusual for them to conceal their names and faces. I don't know that soldier's particulars, but I trust him nonetheless. He's always shown concern for our town. He pleaded that I take refuge after the attack... But when he learned everyone was staying, he refocused on the radar. He might not look it, but he's earnest, kind, and trustworthy. Please overlook his idiosyncrasies.

6th Branch[]

After the mission "Reach the Yggdrasil's base" is available

I've felt uneasy of late... Not about you, no. About the unknown civilization Dr. Stein alluded to. I'm sure it's a major discovery in her field. But I worry that what they'll find is best left unearthed... ...I can't help myself.

After defeating the boss of Torrential Ravine

You've done well in traversing the Torrential Ravine. Did you reach the base of the Yggdrasil? I see. Fine work... The provost is eager to hear from you. I'll get the details at Magan's house.

7th Branch[]

After reporting the mission "Reach the Yggdrasil Base"

The soldiers, explorers, and I are trying to come up with a way to retrieve the DOE amber. But none of us have any good ideas. I'd like a fallback plan in case we can't grant Dr. Stein's request... but nothing comes to mind.

After reporting the mission "Reach the Yggdrasil Base" and seeing the cutscene at Magan's House

A new type of skyship, hm...? In time, wars between nations will likely be conducted with skyships. Knights serving lords will be obsolete, and only adventurers will carry swords and shields. The day will surely come...

After the mission "Master the seventh dungeon" is available

There once was a crown prince in a certain kingdom, whose wife, Lady Astoria, was of royal lineage from a neighboring land. The question of marriage was put to them two years ago. It was clearly a marriage state, but there was affection there as well. However, the throne was fiercely contested in both countries. The pair soon found themselves in danger of assassination. On his Highness' orders, I brought them both to this land, where the late king's hideaway was located. The discovery of the mystery dungeons meant they could not live in the hideaway. But it was here that they were wed. It wasn't long before word of this place got out when we would go for supplies. We started getting settlers here. I couldn't help but harbor deep concern that among their number would be someone with fell intent... But Lady Astoria was a strong woman, and disliked hiding behind a pseudonym. She suggested we build a town and live openly. She was certain the beautiful scenery here would enchant anyone who came. We started building soon after. It was Lady Astoria who named the town Aslarga, which combines the names of we three who first lived here. I urged His Highness to evacuate when we found the vast amount of DOE amber, but... There was never any chance of that. His Highness, the Lady Astoria, and I are one with this town.

Post-Game[]

Just after finishing the game

Thank you for staying so late last night. All those Amber Cocktails, and you're already out for the next adventure... Me? No, it's been a while since I drank that heavily. But you'll never catch me passed out drunk. Though... I can't seem to remember anything from last night's revels. I can't even recall what I did. ...I didn't do anything untoward, did I? I can't help but notice you're looking at me differently... It is a bit unnerving.

After reporting the mission "Master the seventh dungeon" and seeing the cutscene at Stein Labs

Ah, greetings. The Explorers Guild has been busy, due to the spate of newly discovered dungeons. The eighth and ninth dungeons are unsealed, and Dr. Stein found three caves that might lead to yet another. The one that interests me most is the Mysterious Forest. All the adventurers who accepted the quest to go there have reported similar findings. They all say that their level drops to 1 the moment they enter. According to Sarah, this is characteristic of mystery dungeons that have existed since ancient times. It sounds like quite a challenge. I haven't been so excited since I was in active service... I'm tempted to wade in myself.

After reporting the quest "Investigate Mysterious Forest"

Have you heard about the eleventh dungeon? It wasn't easy to resist the impulse to go adventuring. I envy active guilds such as yours. You intend to take on not just the eleventh dungeon, but all dungeons in the vicinity of Aslarga, do you not? If you can manage that feat, I'll buy you a drink at the Amber Restaurant. We'll drink a toast with Amber Cocktails.

After finishing all the missions and dungeons and seeing the cutscene showing what happens several years later

Still spending your days adventuring, hm? It's good to take a rest from that every so often. Why don't you come by my home this evening? We'll share a drink... Some Amber Cocktails, perhaps?
